Birding in French Polynesia XIII

Over the next 28 days, I will be spending my time birding on Tahiti and Mo'orea, two islands in the Windward Islands, an archipelago belonging to French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France. Birds in italics indicate lifers.
Tuesday Jan 13 2026 - Day 13
Today, as we were heading out to the beach, in the morning, we were lucky enough to see a beautiful adult Crimson-backed Tanager in a bush outside our house. Sadly, it flew away before we could take a picture, but my mum saw it briefly again in the evening.
